How we source our metal
Heavier earrings need a back with enough body to hold the post through a full day of wear. These heavy friction ear nuts measure 6.3 mm at the widest point of the nut and take ear posts from 0.76 mm to 0.91 mm, approximately 19–21 gauge or .030"–.036". WR Cobb makes each back in the USA from 100% recycled gold, in 14K and 18K yellow and white, and is certified to ISO 14001:2015 Environmental and ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System standards. They are sold by the piece, so order 2 for a pair.
