These lever backs are built with set rivets, meaning the hinges arrive pre-assembled and ready to use. Soldering is not recommended unless the rivet is removed first and reassembled afterward. To keep the hinge operating smoothly, lubricate it with a small amount of mineral oil or a similar lubricant. This is especially important after cleaning in an ultrasonic cleaner or a steam cleaner.
