Gold, Platinum & Pink Gold Lever Backs Only – No Wire, Joined

Use these joined lever backs at the bench when you want to finish an earring with your own formed ear wire. They are sold as joined pieces, so one joined piece makes one pair: cut the piece in the middle to create two separate lever backs. Because soldering a lever back destroys the tension in its steel spring, these backs are supplied with unset rivets, which makes it straightforward to add a custom ear wire without damaging the mechanism.

To assemble, cut the joined piece in half, pull the rivet to remove the spring, solder your own formed ear wire to the back, reassemble, and set the rivet to complete. Available in seven precious metal types: 14K yellow, 14K white, 14K pink, 18K yellow, 18K white, 18K pink, and platinum.

Lever backs require a small amount of lubrication on the moving parts to function properly. Apply a tiny drop of oil to all moving parts during use and after any ultrasonic cleaning.

• Soldering lever backs with the spring in place destroys spring tension. Always remove the spring via the rivet before soldering.
