Gold & Platinum 6.1mm Guardian Positive Locking Earring Backs

A positive locking earring back replaces a friction clutch when a finished earring needs to stay put on the ear until it is deliberately released.

These Original Guardian backs from WR Cobb, also known as Guardian Ear Nuts or Safety Earring Backs, use straight, ridged trigger tabs that lock onto a matching post groove and release only when both side tabs are pressed at the same time. Each clutch measures 6.1 mm (0.240") across and fits a 0.89 mm (0.035") post. They are sold individually, so order two for a pair, in 14K yellow, 14K white, 18K yellow and 18K white gold and in platinum, all made in the USA from 100% recycled precious metal.
