Successful pen plating requires precise micro-amperage control — a capability rarely found in standard rectifiers used in the jewelry industry. The Ikohe Pen Plating Machine is a purpose-built micro-amp rectifier designed to deliver repeatable, premium results for rhodium and gold pen plating applications.

Built on a heavy-gauge steel platform, this sturdy system combines micro-amp voltage regulation with an LED voltmeter for accurate, real-time monitoring. The analog micro-amperage dial adjusts from 10/100 to 100/100 (up to 1 amp), giving you the fine control needed to achieve consistent, high-quality plating results without burning or uneven coverage.

The unit includes three glass jars with lids for storing pen plating solutions. The jar openings are also compatible with popular "Pen Pals" plastic solution jars (sold separately). The system comes with one standard platinum anode plating pen and one clamp wire with alligator clip. The housing features two plug-ins for pens and two plug-ins for clamp wires, allowing flexible dual-pen setups.

Notes

• Pen plating requires special pen plating solutions — standard plating solutions are not suitable.
• Never touch felt pen tips with bare fingers; contamination will affect solution quality.
• Use one tip per solution only — never use the same tip with two different solutions.
• Items must be thoroughly polished, steam cleaned, and ultrasonically cleaned before plating. Follow with an electrocleaner or Tivaclean dip and allow to dry completely.
• The item being plated must contact the alligator clamp wire connected to the red connector; the plating pen connects to the adjacent black connector.
• Begin at low amperage and increase gradually. Excessive voltage may cause darker or "burned" plating results.
• A premium platinum anode plating pen with a larger platinum surface area is also available from Ikohe separately.
• "Pen Pals" plastic solution jars are sold separately and fit directly into the jar openings on this unit.
