Steel Bench Blocks With One Radiused Edge Made In Italy

A bench block gives a flat, hardened surface to stamp, form, and true metal against at the bench. These blocks from OMO are made in Italy from hardened, tempered steel that has been precision ground flat, and each carries one rounded (radiused) edge for forming, stamping, and general benchwork. The flat working surface and the smooth radiused edge together cover a wide range of metalsmithing tasks.

Five sizes run from a compact 50mm square up to a generous 130mm square, so a block can be matched to the bench and the work. The 50mm through 100mm blocks are 20mm thick, and the 130mm block is 25mm thick. Otto Frei has stocked these Italian blocks for more than 40 years.
