Nakanishi NSK IR-310 Twist to Open Quick Change Ring Type Handpiece

A quick change ring type handpiece for detailed engraving, grinding, drilling and finishing at the bench, the IR-310 twists open and twists closed so burs come out and go in without a wrench or chuck key. NSK builds it 3-1/2" long and 1" in diameter, a balanced, ergonomic profile for close work over a long session.

The IR-310 runs on the NSK Electer E-Max and Nakanishi NSK Evolution micromotors, and optional reduction gear units can be fitted between the handpiece and the motor when a job calls for lower speed. Two collets ship with the handpiece, 3/32" and 1/8", covering the most common rotary bur shank sizes used in jewelry making and metalsmithing.
