Sterling Silver Round Click & Lock Jump Rings-Packs of 36 or 12

Jump rings carry every clasp, charm, and chain link a finished piece is built from, and these close securely without lighting a torch. Round Click & Lock jump rings look and behave like traditional jump rings, but an internal locking feature lets you hear and feel a distinct click as the two ends come together.

The rings are made in sterling silver and span a wide working range, from fine 24 gauge rings as small as 2.3 mm outside diameter up to sturdy 16 gauge rings at 9.0 mm, which covers delicate chain work through heavier link construction. Wire thickness runs 0.50 mm–1.27 mm across the range. Rings are sold by the pack, with packs of 36 on the smaller sizes and packs of 12 on the larger ones.

• Use two pairs of nylon jaw pliers, one on each side of the opening, to avoid marking the metal.
• Open the ring by gently separating and twisting the ends past one another, then bring them back together until you feel or hear the click.
• The locking connection is secure under normal use, but it is not unbreakable, and the ring can be reopened with deliberate effort.
• Any size in the range can be soldered closed like a standard jump ring when a permanent, fused joint is wanted.
