Notes

• This wire is hard and not annealed. It performs well for shaping stone settings but may be damaged by extensive bending or wrapping without annealing first.
• To anneal: flux the wire, heat to a dull red, then quench in pickle as soon as it cools below red.
• Temper may vary from batch to batch. Handle with care given the delicate nature of hard wire.
• Wire may have sharp or rough edges as manufactured, so finishing may be required.
• Sterling silver will naturally tarnish, and sunlight, humidity and salt water accelerate it. Store in airtight packaging with tarnish strips. Most tarnish can be removed by polishing with a mild abrasive or soaking in an anti-tarnish solution.
