Vulcan Single Stage Model 550 Single Stage Furnace-120V

A single stage burnout furnace holds one set point through a wax burnout, an enameling run or a heat treat, and the Vulcan Single Stage Model 550 does it behind a front-loading door with digital set-point control.

The Model 550 is the direct replacement for the discontinued Neycraft JFF-2000 Fiber Furnace, and it is a meaningful upgrade. The front-loading door and precise set-point digital temperature control make daily bench use more efficient and consistent. Its lightweight, one-piece molded muffle chamber carries the heating elements embedded in the wall, a design that is more energy efficient and better insulated than a conventional firebrick kiln, so heat stays inside the chamber rather than radiating into your workspace. The furnace reaches 1000°F (538°C) in 15 minutes and tops out at 2012°F (1100°C), which suits it to wax burnout, enameling and heat treating.

Neycraft was a respected manufacturer of dental and jewelry equipment. Following its sale to Dentsply in 2002, the line was eventually discontinued when Dentsply closed the company in 2021. A selection of original Neycraft designs, this furnace among them, is now produced by another manufacturer under the Vulcan brand name, preserving those trusted tools for working jewelers.
