Advanced Forming Stake For Synclastic Raising

The advanced forming stakes are used for synclastic and anticlastic shaping. Developed with a lower cost in mind, the advanced forming stakes makes it easy to get full support while forming, an issue that can occur with the standard forged sinusoidal stakes.

The number size refers to the diameter of the smallest curve in the stake. Imagine the circle that the curve in the stake would make if it continued. For example, 112.890, the diameter of that circle would be .125" (1/8" or 3.18mm). Each bay is an increase of .125” from the previous size. We also have .25" (1/4" or 6.35mm) and 1.50" (1-1/2 or 38.1mm) sized advanced forming stakes. The delrin shot filled cross peen hammer and delrin shot filled round peen hammer are excellent companions for forming with this stake.
