CABSHINE wheels are diamond abrasive wheels for removing minor scratches and abrasions on cabochons and other fine gemstone that might otherwise have to be sent to the lapidary shop. CABSHINE wheels have been tested and approved by Swiss lapidary artists and Swiss fine jewelers. CABSHINE wheels makes it easy for jewelers to do touch ups on gemstone as high as 9 Mohs in hardness. From Turquoise to Rubies and Sapphires some stone touch ups that you would have to send to a lapidary shop can now be done in house!
Always polish crosswise: in one direction, for example, left to right, and then in the other direction, up and down. Practice first with inexpensive stones to learn the possibilities, and the limitations, of CABSHINE Wheels. Recommended speed: 3,000 to 7,000 rpm.
Use CABSHINE-M medium wheels for removing scratches then CABHINE-F fine wheels for surface prep (F) and then use CABSHINE-XF for a final polish. Not all repairs need all 3 steps.
Diamond filled abrasive. Developed in Switzerland for AGILO.

I am amazed at how quickly my parcel arrived at my door today. Thank you for that. I set a lot of Mabe pearls, and these will be just great for final touch-ups etc. also for repolishing used set gems.
Purchased this kit to revive several pieces of old jewelry where the cabochons were damaged. After viewing a demo on You tube - decided to give it a try. Well WOW! My local jeweler said it wasn't possible to clean up these old cabs. (It was a Jasper cabochon that had dulled out, a small round Amethyst with lost luster, and a scratched tigers eye stone). This Agilo cab shine kit did the trick with my dremel ( rotary shaft) tool. . I was duly impressed by how easy it was and now these 3 old pieces of jewelry were given a new life. Anticipating to find more uses for these marvelous bits. I'm not a professional jeweler but iI achieved professional results. Very Happy.
