This produces a flash of rainbow colors or "Play of Color". Ethiopian Black Opal is translucent to semi-translucent with play-of-color against a black to yellow background. Ethiopian Black Opal requires special care due to being extremely soft and can craze from loss of moisture. Please avoid sudden heat changes.
