Product Details

Large Format Value Line Jig Vise Mitre Cutter-3 Way
3rd slot adds 60 degree and 120 degree angles

Total of five possible angles for making perfectly flat flush cuts of 45°-135°, 60°-120°, 90°

This is the slightly larger version of the Value Line Jig Vise Miter Cutter with an extra 60 degree slot for a total of 3 slots. We purchase these well made miter jigs from a highly regarded factory that makes excellent quality hand tools in Pakistan. It looks just like the more expensive versions from Switzerland and France. This surface of this tool is more likely to show wear marks from files than European models, but this is still a very serviceable tool for considerable less than the original European made versions.

Made of super hard tool steel rated at a 58HRC, this 1-7/8" x 2-1/2" tool holds stock up to 1/2" thick so you can file perfectly flat 90 degrees, 60 degree or 45 degree cuts on tubing, wire and sheet. The lower opening is for making 90-degree cuts; the next opening holds your stock for making 45-degree cuts and the top opening holds stock for making 60-degree cuts. There is 35mm distance between the small integrated stop along both the flat 90 degree slot and the 45 degree slot to the edge of the tool so you can hold and cut a flat piece of sheet up to that 35mm length.

Can be mounted in a vise or held in the hand. Saw or file against this vise and PRESTO, a perfectly flat surface.

Supplied with an adjustable stop for making repeat cuttings of the same length, and a hex key for fixing the stop.

Warning: Certain files including Glardon-Vallorbe Valtitan files are as hard or harder than the jig vise miter cutter. In that case they will mark the vise. Strong force with just about any file may scratch the vise and can damage your file. Marks made on the vise are not an indication of a defect but only that the tool being used against the vise is harder than the tool itself.

Great tools and quick shipping

great for the price if you are careful

this works well but you must be very careful to first verify you have the workpiece positioned even though it seems to be in the slot/etc, and, second, to take strong precautions against rust which can wreak all kinds of havoc. otherwise, pretty good buy.

Favourite jig! But use caution

Easily one of my most frequently used tools. Almost always on my bench to true up ends. Love all the angle options and notches to help secure pieces. Be careful though when sliding sections, easy to pinch skin, but ESPECIALLY when taking apart to clean & oil. Edges are very sharp!! Makes for a wonderfully smooth working surface when all together, but will slice skin like a razor if taken apart and not paying attention. Learned that lesson the hard way!
