Meiji Microscope Auxiliary & Protective Lenses

Auxiliary Lenses are used to increase the working distance of your microscope so you have room for your hands and your tools while using a microscope.  While they reduce the top magnification of your scope they have the double benefit of increasing the field of view while giving you more room to manipulate tools.  These are good things when doing stone setting and engraving!   You will not miss the high end magnification as almost all work is done at the lower end of a microscopes magnification range. If you do need the high magnification simply remove the auxiliary lens.

These genuine Meiji lenses will fit Meiji & OttoSetters Microscopes-Superior Quality-Data given below for Meiji Scopes only-Use on OttoSetters Scopes will have slightly different, but similar outcomes.

 With the use of 129.411 - Meiji .3X Auxiliary Lens, the characteristics change to:
 

• Working Distance: 252mm (9.9")

With the use of 129.412 - Meiji .5X Auxiliary Lens, the characteristics change to:
 

• Working Distance: 150mm (5.9")
   

With the use of 129.413 - Meiji .75X Auxiliary Lens, the characteristics change to:
 

• Working Distance: 97mm (3.8")

 

129.409B - Meiji .0X Protective Lens 

The protective lens screws in just like the auxiliary lens in the same location. Use this lens when you don't need to change the natural focal length or power of your Meiji Microscope head. It is recommended to use this protective lens to protect your optics if you choose not to use an auxiliary lens.
