Not the most precise, but better than most for the money.

These seem like pretty good calipers for the money. They aren't the most repeatable, but I trust them to be within about .025 of the actual value. If I am careful in my technique, then I think I can get a bit better than that. This estimate comes from comparing these to a pair of vintage Starrett vernier calipers. They also return to zero nicely provided that I don't slam them shut. I did have to adjust the gear rack a little to get them to perform better, but I was able to do this with no previous experience. Overall, I think these are much nicer to work with than cheap digital calipers, and easier to read than the vernier model.
