How to Use

  • Sprinkle a small amount into the crucible or onto the melt to create a protective layer.
  • For crucible conditioning, warm the crucible and rotate to coat interior surfaces.
  • Blend with borax (as needed) to adjust flow, wetting, and oxidation control.

Notes

Borax vs. Boric Acid: Both are related boron compounds used in melting. Borax is a naturally occurring mineral; boric acid is a refined derivative. Each can be used alone as flux, or mixed together for melting and crucible prep to combine benefits.
