Fretz RH Repousse holder

The Fretz RH Repousse Holder is a hand-held snarling tool designed to give metalsmiths and jewelers controlled access to the interior of bracelets, rings, and other curved pieces. By transferring hammer blows through the tool body to a removable insert positioned inside your work, the RH allows you to raise, flute, and form surfaces from the inside without kinking or distorting the piece.

To use, select an insert and attach it to the insert end of the RH Holder. Position the insert inside your workpiece—supported in a pitch bowl—using the knob for precise placement. Strike the opposite end of the tool with a hammer. The holder transfers the force directly to the insert, enabling clean repousse work in areas that would otherwise be inaccessible with a standard hammer or chasing tool.

Because the RH Inserts are the same as those used with the Fretz MKR-7 Maker Hammer, the RH Holder is available on its own for jewelers who already own the MKR-7 and have the inserts on hand. RH Inserts are also available separately as a set.
