Fretz RH-DL Repouse Holder with 7 Inserts

The Fretz RH-DL Repousse Holder is a hand-operated snarling tool designed to let metalsmiths and jewelers access the interior of bracelets and other curved forms — areas that would otherwise be difficult or impossible to reach with a hammer or chasing tool alone. By transferring a hammer blow from one end of the tool to the other, the RH-DL delivers controlled force directly to the inside of a curved piece, allowing you to raise, form, and shape metal from within without kinking or distorting the work.

This complete kit includes 7 interchangeable inserts, each designed to produce different effects such as delicate flutes or raised surfaces. To use the tool, select the appropriate insert and attach it to the insert end of the holder. Nest your workpiece — for example, a bracelet — in a pitch bowl for support. Use the knob to position the insert precisely inside the piece, then strike the opposite end of the tool with a hammer. The holder transfers that energy to the insert, giving you the access and control needed to form and shape from the inside out.

The inserts included with the RH-DL are the same as those used with the Fretz MKR-7 Maker Hammer, making them fully interchangeable between the two tools. If you already own an MKR-7, the RH holder is also available separately without inserts.
