Glardon-Vallorbe LO0401 flat gravers in High Speed Steel (HSS) are the traditional engraver's choice for jewelers, stone setters, die sinkers, and watchmakers worldwide. These gravers require shaping and fitting into a handle before use. High Speed Steel is harder than carbon steel, holds an edge longer, and requires less frequent sharpening when working with most metals.

Made by Usines Metallurgiques de Vallorbe SA (UMV) in Vallorbe, Switzerland, these gravers are identified by the Fish trademark and the Glardon-Vallorbe Swiss Made name — the same brand recognized throughout the world for consistent quality and perfect temper. Previously sold in the USA under the Grobet name, they are now available under the factory brand name used globally. Suitable for use with metals, wood, bone, ivory, and onyx.

Swiss sizing is measured in 1/10 mm increments. USA sizing is also provided where available. Available in 10 sizes ranging from 0.20 mm (#36) to 2.00 mm (#45).
