The new and improved Mk.V Jewelers saw frames, also called fret saws. Now stronger, with improved blade clamps. The new clamps have witness holes, so you can see the back of the blade to make sure you've really grabbed it. The extra length in the clamps also gives the clamps more to hold on to, for improved grip. The new witness hole lets sawdust drop out of the bottom of the clamps, to keep them grabbing solidly. The frames now have the same triangulated truss design that makes the Mk. IV saws so much stronger. A major improvement over the older MK. III design.
The Knew Concepts Screw-Tension Saw Frames are the original precision fret saws that set the standard for control and rigidity in jewelry sawing. These economy version delivers ultra-precise blade tension through a knurled tension nut at the top of the frame. The rigid, heat-treated aluminum construction minimizes flex, improving accuracy and reducing blade breakage. When balance, feel, lightness, and stiffness matter most, this is the jeweler’s saw frame of choice.

The purpose of any jeweler’s saw is to hold a fine, toothed blade tightly and accurately in line. Proper tension ensures smooth, controlled cutting, prevents wandering, and extends blade life. The Knew Concepts frame achieves high, stable tension through its rigid truss design and precision screw adjustment.
Heavier-duty 8" Mk IV versions are available separately for users needing additional throat depth and maximum frame stiffness.
