Product Details

The Otto Frei Simple Jewelers Kit is a budget-friendly starter set requested by customers who wanted a lower-priced path into metalsmithing. To keep cost down we replaced the rawhide mallet with a plastic mallet, reduced saw blades from 3 dozen to 2 dozen, substituted a simple brass slide gauge for a digital caliper, and removed ring-bending pliers—tasks you can accomplish with the hammer and ring mandrel. We still included genuine Swiss Made Glardon-Vallorbe needle files so it earns the name “jewelers kit.” Plus, you get a bench pin & anvil combo and a tube of Stay Sharp sawing lubricant.
