Reimers 02283 Heating Element 120V 1500 W

This is the replacement heating element Reimers part number 02283 for all Reimers steamers models JR, JR06 including JG and JJ models.  Also for Vigor brand steamers, which were manufactured by Reimers and branded as Vigor. 120V 1500W.

This part has remained virtually unchanged for many years.  If you have a 120V jewelry steamer manufactured by Reimers going back to the 1970's, this is the replacement element for your machine.

You will want to install this with a new Reimers MBJ16 heating element gasket kit, see Otto Frei part number 123.797, which includes the parts to reuse your Reimers 04163 Thermostat control, if serviceable. Reimers 02281 gaskets only are also available, see Otto Frei part number 123.798.

Reimers 04163 Thermostat Controls are available separately, see Otto Frei part number 123.796, or you can also purchase a pre-assembled Reimers MBJ4-1500A heating element with a thermostat installed.  This is a popular replacement as many times both the heating element and the thermostat will need replacement due to corrosion and age. See Otto Frei part number 123.794. If you do purchase the combination heating element and thermostat control, you will want to purchase a gasket separately.
