A plain oval bezel cup gives a cabochon a ready-made seat: solder the cup to sheet, a ring shank or a pendant back, drop the stone in, then burnish the straight wall over its edge to lock it down. Crafted in sterling silver, these cups carry plain, straight walls that push and burnish cleanly and take shaping or embellishment well, which makes them a dependable component for jewelers and metalsmiths building bezel-set pieces from scratch or dropping pre-made settings into custom designs. Twelve oval sizes run from 3 x 5mm to 18 x 25mm.
