The Vulcan Single Stage Model 550 Burnout Furnace is the direct replacement for the discontinued Neycraft JFF-2000 Fiber Furnace — and it's a meaningful upgrade. The Vulcan features a front-loading door and precise digital set-point temperature control, improvements that make daily bench use more efficient and consistent.
The Model 550 uses a lightweight, one-piece molded muffle chamber with embedded heating elements. This design is more energy-efficient than conventional firebrick kilns and better insulated, so heat stays inside the chamber rather than radiating into your workspace. It reaches 1000°F (538°C) in just 15 minutes and is ideal for wax burnout, enameling, and heat treating.
Neycraft was a respected manufacturer of dental and jewelry equipment. Following its sale to Dentsply in 2002, the line was eventually discontinued when Dentsply closed the company in 2021. A selection of original Neycraft designs — including this furnace — are now produced by another manufacturer under the Vulcan brand name, preserving the legacy of those trusted tools for working jewelers.
