Single unit weight: -- lbs / -- kg
This sterling silver Crown gallery wire is crafted from a storied tradition — produced in Israel using equipment originally manufactured in Germany in the 1920s. The entire factory relocated from Germany to Israel in the 1950s, where a family business has continued producing this distinctive gallery wire ever since.
The Crown design features a beaded base that sets it apart from similar styles. It is closely related to the Inverted Heart design (see part number 844-703), but the two are not identical. The Crown sits on a beaded base, while the Inverted Heart has a smooth base. The Crown stands 4.0 mm tall, making it slightly shorter than the Inverted Heart at 4.5 mm.
Each length is sold in 12" pieces. Order 2 or more units and the wire will be sent as one continuous piece 24" or longer, unless you specify otherwise in the order comment field.

This wire is hard and not annealed as sold. It performs well for shaping stone settings in this state, but extensive bending or wrapping may damage it. If your application requires significant bending or wrapping, anneal the wire first: flux the wire, heat to a dull red, then quench in pickle as soon as the color fades.
Wire may have sharp or rough edges as manufactured — finishing may be required. Sterling silver will naturally tarnish over time. Exposure to sunlight, humidity, and salt water accelerates tarnishing. Store in airtight packaging with tarnish strips to minimize tarnish. Most tarnish can be removed by polishing with a mild abrasive or soaking in an anti-tarnish solution.
