Cultured Freshwater Round Pearl

From talismans believed to protect against fire and dragons in ancient China to symbols of modesty and purity in Europe, pearls have been treasured for centuries. Cultured pearls form when a bead or small piece of mantle tissue is intentionally introduced into a mollusk, which then deposits concentric layers of nacre. Many pearls display a soft, iridescent glow known as orient.

Cultured Freshwater Pearls are grown in lakes and ponds and are known for their wide range of shapes, sizes, and natural colors. These undrilled round pearls are offered in a rose-to-cream color range with natural variation, making each pearl unique. Available in sizes from 1.0mm to 6.5mm, they are well-suited for setting, wire wrapping, and other jewelry fabrication techniques that do not require a pre-drilled hole.
