Foredom K.1070 Micromotor Kit

The Foredom K.1070 Micromotor Kit is a high-performance rotary tool system designed for professional jewelers and metalsmiths who demand precision at high speeds. Ideal for stone setting, bright cutting with diamond tools, and polishing, this micromotor reaches speeds up to 38,000 RPM — delivering a comparable rate of material removal to flex shaft systems, but with a lighter touch and a more flexible, lightweight cord connection between the handpiece and control box.

Foredom imports this micromotor kit and applies strict quality control, testing every unit before it leaves the facility. The result is a machine that performs reliably right out of the box, backed by the trusted Foredom name.

Speed is adjustable two ways: via the dial on the control box for low-to-full speed range, or through the included standard variable speed foot pedal. An overload protector light turns red and an audible beeping alarm activates when the motor stalls. A voltage selector switch on the rear of the control unit supports both 110/120V and 220/240V operation. The included plug is standard North American — simply replace it with the correct plug for your local outlet when operating at 220/240V.

The Twist-Turn Quick Change handpiece accepts a standard 3/32" collet, with optional 1/8" and 3mm collets available separately. Collet changes are made using the included collet-changing wrench. The slender, contoured handpiece grip is built for high-speed precision work and should be used with accessories rated for at least 40,000 RPM. The handpiece features a fan-cooled, brush-type continuous duty motor that runs cool and vibration-free, with permanently lubricated shielded ball bearings. The unit runs in both standard forward and reverse directions.
