The Foredom K.2246 Deluxe Stone Setting Kit is a complete, professional-grade flex shaft system engineered specifically for jewelry stone setters. Built around the M.LX Series High-Torque, Low Speed motor, this kit delivers the sustained low-speed power and control that stone setting demands — without bogging down under load. It ships free within the continental USA.
The M.LX Series motor is the successor to Foredom's no longer produced EE, R, and original L Series units, all of which were developed for professional jewelry stone setters. Working at low speeds with high torque, this motor excels at drilling at reduced RPMs and is the recommended motor for use with hammer handpieces. The included H.15 Hammer Handpiece should only be operated at low speeds, typically under 3,000 RPM.
Important: The LX motor requires a compatible foot or bench control. Use only with the Foredom C.TXR (plastic housing) or C.SXR (metal housing) foot control, or the Foredom EMX bench-mounted speed control. Using the LX motor with any other control unit may damage the motor.
