The Foredom K.2272-26 is a complete 230V flex shaft kit configured specifically for Australian and New Zealand power standards. It pairs the powerful, reversible M.SR-2 motor with a foot-operated speed control and the versatile H.30 Adjustable Chuck Handpiece, plus an 88-piece accessory kit — everything needed to start working immediately.
The M.SR-2 230V Motor delivers 1/6 HP and runs up to 18,000 RPM, providing ample torque to handle nearly any material without stalling or slowing under normal load. The SR Series motor ships with a key tip flexible shaft and sheaths, making it compatible with any Foredom Quick Disconnect handpiece as well as other manufacturers' Quick Disconnect handpieces. Not for use with slip-joint handpieces.
The reversible motor offers significant workflow advantages across a range of tasks:
- Left-handed users gain improved control of cutting tools when running in reverse
- Reverse direction keeps dust and debris directed away from right-handed users
- Alternating motor direction extends the life of certain abrasives
- Supports symmetrical grinding and carving techniques
- Makes it easier to back out stuck drill bits
- Speeds up and simplifies polishing of metals
Caution: When using screw-top mandrels with unmounted polishing wheels, the reverse feature may unscrew the mandrel. Use only pre-mounted polishing wheels permanently mounted on mandrels when operating in reverse.
The included Foredom H.30 Adjustable Chuck Handpiece accepts tools from zero up to 5/32" (3.9mm), secured with a Jacobs chuck and chuck key. This range accommodates the smallest drill bits through larger rotary tools, making the H.30 one of the most versatile handpieces in the Foredom lineup.
