The Foredom M.LX Motor Kit is purpose-built for professional jewelry stone setters who demand reliable high-torque performance at low speeds. This kit pairs the M.LX High-Torque, Low Speed permanent magnet motor with the C.TXR-1 plastic foot control and the MAMH-1 double flex shaft motor hanger — everything you need to start working except a handpiece of your choice.
The LX series motor is the successor to Foredom's EE, R, and original L series motors, all developed specifically for the professional stone setter. Operating at a maximum of 5,000 RPM with 1/10 HP output, it is engineered to maintain constant torque at low speeds without bogging down under load. This makes it an excellent choice for low-speed drilling and the recommended motor for use with hammer handpieces, which should only be operated under 3,000 RPM.
Important: The M.LX motor requires a compatible foot control to function correctly. Use only the Foredom C.TXR (plastic housing), C.SXR (metal housing), or EMX bench-mounted speed control with this motor. Using any other control type or brand may damage the motor.

- Hammer handpieces should only be used at low speeds, typically under 3,000 RPM — the M.LX is the recommended motor for this application.
