Fretz F-7 Thin Shell Stake

The most popular of all the Fretz miniature forming stakes, the Fretz F-7 Thin Shell Stake is a slimmer version of the classic F-Shell Stake. Designed for anticlastic forming, this stake lets jewelers and metalsmiths create tiny concave and convex shapes with precision and control — all the versatility of larger stakes, scaled down for fine detail work.

Made from hardened stainless steel with highly polished working surfaces, the F-7 is ideal for forming bezels, making hollow rings, and executing any smithing technique that would typically require a full-size stake. Its compact profile makes it especially well-suited for miniature silversmithing and small-scale fabrication. As with all Fretz stakes, the surfaces can be modified to suit custom applications.
