Swiss Blue Topaz is the trade name used to describe a vivid medium to medium-dark blue hue of topaz. This genuine faceted gemstone is a great alternative to aquamarine, offering more intense color at a lower price point—making it an excellent choice for jewelers and metalsmiths sourcing quality stones for client work or resale.
While blue topaz is popular and plentiful in the jewelry market, naturally occurring blue topaz is very rare. Colorless topaz is treated with irradiation and heat to produce the characteristic vivid blue color. These round faceted stones are eye-clean and ideal for a wide range of jewelry applications, from solitaire settings to accent work.
Care: Clean with warm, soapy water only. Avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaners. Handle with extra care due to possible cleavage.
