Graver Handle-Oval Shape

The Oval Shape Graver Handle is one of the smallest graver handles available, offering a compact and comfortable grip for precision engraving and stonesetting work. Handcrafted from wood with a metal ferrule, this handle measures 1-1/4" (32mm) in length including the ferrule and 1-1/4" (32mm) in diameter. Because this is a hand-made natural product, size and color may vary slightly from piece to piece.

Fitting a graver to this handle can be accomplished using one of two common methods. The first is the heat method: heat the tang of the graver until red hot, then press it into the guide hole of the handle — the hot tang burns a perfectly fitted channel into the wood. The second is the drill-and-grind method: use a drill to slightly enlarge the guide hole, grind the tang of the graver to a point, then use a wood block to protect the graver tip and hammer the tang firmly into the handle.
