The GRS 003-760 Apex Sharpening System with Base, Apex Dials, and Rack is a precision sharpening fixture designed for everyone from the novice to the seasoned professional who needs to quickly and accurately sharpen gravers. An innovative 4-in-1 update to the classic Dual Angle fixture, the Apex system brings together improved ergonomics, faster tool changes, and a guided color-coded dialing system that makes consistent graver sharpening accessible at every skill level.

The redesigned fixture features a shorter nose and a longer fixture post to easily accommodate longer gravers. Locking knobs are now knurled steel for more ergonomic, secure grip. A simple quarter-turn locks GRS QC tool holders in place via the black post dial, enabling faster and more efficient tool changes. The black post dial has also been simplified, making it easier to locate the correct angle setting at a glance.

The standout feature of the Apex system is its three color-coded Apex Speedline Dials. The numbers and text printed on each dial serve as a built-in step-by-step guide, indicating which part of the graver is being sharpened and the precise settings required. For beginners, the dials teach the exact movements and terminology used to create custom gravers with the Dual Angle dial. For advanced engravers and metalsmiths, the dials deliver efficient repeatability for faster, more consistent results. The dials are quickly removed and replaced, allowing any desired graver geometry to be achieved.
