The Knew Concepts Mk.IV 8" Heavy Duty Jeweler's Saw Frame delivers exceptional rigidity and precision for demanding bench work. Built heavier than the Mk.III series by design, this frame generates up to 60 pounds of blade tension — significantly more than standard Knew Concepts frames — virtually eliminating flex during use. The result is noticeably improved cutting accuracy, especially when working with intricate patterns or thick stock.
Because of the increased structural strength of the Mk.IV HD frame, lever tension is the only practical tensioning method available. Traditional screw tension is not compatible with these heavier frames, making the cam lever mechanism both a necessity and an advantage — providing fast, consistent, repeatable blade tension with a single motion.
This 8" version is fitted with Knew Concepts 360-degree swivel blade clamps, allowing the blade to be repositioned a full 360 degrees relative to the frame. Click stops every 45 degrees let you lock the blade at precise angles for interior cuts, tight curves, and complex fretwork — without removing or re-threading the blade.
The Mk.IV HD Hand Saw is available in three frame depths — 3", 5", and 8" — each offered with Lever Tension alone or with Lever Tension and Swivel Blade Clamps.
