Description
Melt casting metal at the bench in a compact unit that plugs into a standard 110V circuit. The MF-1000 Electric Melting Furnace, made in China, handles 1 kg (30 oz) per melt for professional jewelers and metalsmiths. Its standout feature is a special alloy melting element rated to 1900°C (3450°F), far above the machine's own maximum operating temperature of 1150°C (2100°F). That wide margin between the operating maximum and the element's failure point means the heating element sees significantly less thermal stress than a conventional electric furnace, which contributes to longer element life and more consistent performance.
A durable ceramic melting chamber provides a safe, long-lasting melting environment. Replacement parts are stocked for ongoing serviceability, including heating elements (122.394), thermocouples (122.395), and ceramic flanges (122.396).
This furnace displays temperature in Celsius only. It does not have a Fahrenheit readout. Make sure every operator is comfortable working in Celsius before use.
Features
- Special alloy heating element rated to 1900°C (3450°F), far above the 1150°C operating maximum, for reduced thermal stress
- Durable ceramic melting chamber for safe, long-lasting performance
- Digital control panel with easy-to-use temperature set and display
- Maximum operating temperature of 1150°C (2100°F)
- Requires a 15-amp rated circuit (draws 14 amps)
- Replacement parts available: heating elements (122.394), thermocouples (122.395), ceramic flanges (122.396)
- Temperature display in Celsius only, with no Fahrenheit readout
Notes
What you get:
- MF-1000 electric melting furnace
- One high-purity graphite crucible with groove for crucible tongs
- One pair of crucible tongs
Temperature display is in Celsius only. This unit does not display Fahrenheit. Confirm all operators understand Celsius temperature values before use.
The furnace requires a dedicated 15-amp rated circuit. Do not use it on an undersized circuit.
Crucible dimensions listed reflect a brand-new crucible. Graphite wears with repeated heat and air exposure, so those dimensions change over time.
Temperature Setting Instructions: In normal SV/PV display mode, press the Set button so the SV display flashes. Use the < button to navigate to the desired temperature digit, then use the ∨ and ∧ buttons to adjust the value. Press Set again to confirm and return to normal display. To access parameter settings, hold Set for 3 seconds in normal display mode. All factory parameters are preset, so do not alter them. If the operator does not manually return to the main display, the unit reverts automatically after 30 seconds without saving any unsaved changes.
