Ransom & Randolph Plasticast Investment is for use with the new generation of plastic and resin pattern (RP) materials. Plasticast is the only water based investment on the market that has been successful when used with these difficult to cast materials. With the wide variety of RP materials on the market, and their correspondingly different expansion and thermal characteristics, the traditional type investments can give less that optimal results. Ransom & Randolph Plasticast has become the go-to investment for casters working with these new materials as it has the strength and forgiveness to eliminate flashing and spalling. Plasticast also works great with standard injection wax. Like all R&R investments, casting surface is smooth with little to no surface imperfections. Ransom and Randolph investments provide consistent results from batch to batch. Sold in a 44 lb box.
