Need more working distance for your Leica A60F microscope? The standard Leica A60F provides a working distance of 122 mm (4.8") between the lens and focal point, which many users find adequate. However, jewelers and metalsmiths who require greater clearance beneath the lens — for larger workpieces, additional tools, or more comfortable hand positioning — will benefit from adding this 0.50x auxiliary lens.
Adding this auxiliary lens increases working distance from 122 mm (4.8") to approximately 200 mm (7.8"), giving you significantly more room to maneuver. The trade-off is a reduction in magnification range, from the standard 5x–30x down to 2.5x–15x. Field of view increases correspondingly, from the standard 46 mm–7.5 mm to 90 mm–15 mm. Most jewelry work performed under a microscope is done at lower magnifications, so the reduced upper magnification limit rarely affects day-to-day use.
Please note: This lens requires the Leica A60 objective lens adapter, part number 103.727, sold separately.
