This scope consists of the Meiji EMT-2 Microscope body mounted in the Meiji inclinable gem stand (GEMT/PT), providing a stable, adjustable platform for gemstone examination. Illumination is provided from below via 30-watt tungsten darkfield lighting, while the included Meiji MA309/100 fluorescent illuminator (110V) delivers illumination from above. The system also includes a MA555/05 gem clamp for secure stone handling and a 40mm diameter MA557 iris diaphragm with adapter ring for precise light control.
Standard configuration includes one pair of Meiji MA502 10x eyepieces, delivering either 10x or 30x magnification through the EMT-2 scope body. Note that this is not a zoom microscope. Optional MA503 20x eyepieces are available separately and will yield 20x or 60x magnification.
