The Baldor 380T is a 1/3 HP, 2-speed polishing motor built for years of continuous, trouble-free use in professional jewelry and metalsmithing environments. The 380T features taper fit shafts — a system where special taper fit spindles slide onto the shafts and are secured by friction with a firm tap at the spindle end. Removal is straightforward: rotating the spindle-removing rings causes the screw-fit rings to push the friction-fit spindles off the shaft. Taper fit spindles are sold separately.

The 3-way toggle switch provides three operating positions: high, off, and low — with off as the center setting for safe, intuitive control during polishing sessions.
