Cutting Edge Types — 80 Series Overview

• Micro-Bevel: Slight bevel edge for increased strength; leaves a small peak on one side of the cut wire. Widest cutting range and superior durability.
• Flush: Leaves a practically smooth cut on one side of the wire. More delicate than Micro-Bevel — cutting limits must not be exceeded.
• Ultra-Flush: Leaves a flat surface on one side of the cut wire. Most limited cutting range; greatest sensitivity to misuse or overloading.

Important: Lindstrom cutters are not guaranteed. Cutting capacity ratings printed on the handles apply to soft copper wire only. Metal alloys commonly used in jewelry are significantly harder and will exceed these limits more quickly.

All Flush-type cutters are delicate by design. Exceeding the cutting limitations of these tools may result in damage to the cutting edges. Dents in the cutting surface are a clear indication that the hardness of the material being cut exceeds the cutter's rated limits.

If tip damage occurs, it is recommended to grind the undamaged side down to match the damaged side and continue use. Lindstrom cutters and similar precision cutting tools, as commonly used in the jewelry industry, should be regarded as consumable labor-saving devices.
