Ferris Inlay Wax is a professional-grade carving and pattern-building wax originally developed for the construction of dental crowns and bridgework. Jewelers and metalsmiths have adopted it for its exceptional durability, which allows it to be cast in very thin layers while resisting deformation from repeated handling. It is an excellent choice for building up fine details in wax patterns and is considered a replacement for the no longer manufactured Pecks Purple inlay wax.
Both grades are blue in color and can be softened over a flame, in hot water, or with a heated tool. Each box contains approximately 18 sticks measuring 4" x 1/4". Available in Hard and Regular hardness to suit different working preferences and applications.
