BANDUST is not a new type of investment powder, but rather a substance added to R&R investment that binds small particles to the investment material, reducing respirable dust. First developed in Europe, Ransom & Randolph has perfected its use in their investments, delivering a product that significantly reduces dust while still delivering the excellent surfaces and ease of use that R&R investments are known for. The BANDUST safety feature changes nothing about casting results — powder-to-water ratio and investment process remain exactly the same.

Ultra-Vest MAXX with BANDUST delivers maximum thermal stability, making it suitable for casting high metal melt temperatures. It is the recommended investment for palladium, white gold, and sterling silver in all its new forms. It also performs well with plastic and resin pattern materials, helping to eliminate flashing and spalling associated with investment breakdown during burnout. An excellent choice for gold and other standard jewelry alloys, Ultra-Vest MAXX with BANDUST produces a very smooth casting surface with consistent results from batch to batch.
