GEMS 10X-22mm Hexagon Triplet Loupe-Silver-with Achromatic Lens

Part # 129.602 Only 1 left Weight -- lb -- g
Current price $75.00

The GEMS 10X 22mm Hexagon Triplet Loupe in silver is a premium diamond loupe built around Japanese-made achromatic triplet optics — the same optical glass found in the world's most expensive jewelers' loupes. This all-silver model features a non-reflective aluminum anodized finish and delivers exceptional clarity for color grading and clarity grading of diamonds and other gemstones.

At 22mm, this is the only 10X triplet loupe with a 22mm diameter lens, giving it the widest possible field of view available in its class. The achromatic lens corrects for both spherical aberration (edge distortion) and chromatic aberration (color fringing), so stones appear sharp and true-color even at the outer edges of the field. The optical glass is also treated to be anti-reflective and scratch resistant, protecting the lens in daily professional use.

All GEMS Hexagon Triplet Loupes are assembled in Taiwan using Japanese 22mm triplet optics and professionally packaged for the working bench jeweler or gemologist.

Notes

10X triplet loupes are the professional standard for diamond color grading and clarity grading. Per gemological practice, if a flaw is not visible at 10X magnification, it is not considered for clarity grading purposes. Higher-power loupes are generally impractical for gemology use due to their extremely narrow depth of focus. The silver finish is more precisely described as a non-reflective aluminum anodized finish.
