This is an optional speed reducer model number RG-01 that fits between the micromotor and the handpiece. The speed is reduced to 1/4* of the indicated speed on the control box but the torque is multiplied by 4* times. The reduction gear attachment is useful for jewelers who set stones and require precise steady speed when drilling holes and cutting seats. The speed reducer ads 1.65" to the length of the motor/handpiece assembly when attached and weighs 2.4 ounces.
