The 6-gallon tank is painted internally to resist rust and holds a working reserve for demanding bench sessions. Rubber wheels let one person reposition it around the shop. The unit weighs 100 lbs and ships by truck freight only; boxed for transit it runs about 150 lbs.

Maintenance tip: The Sil-Air 100-24 uses a specially formulated hygroscopic compressor oil that draws moisture out of the air during compression. Change the oil on a schedule that matches your usage and shop humidity, and change it immediately if it looks milky white. Check the moisture trap at the output regulator and empty it when full. Release the compressed air from the tank after each use so condensation cannot sit inside and start internal rust. These routine steps protect the internal components and extend the life of the tank.
