The Durston 1040 Agile F165mm Flat Rolling Mill brings serious rolling capacity to the bench with a lighter frame design, T-bar roll adjustment, and an all-flat roller configuration. Durston engineered the Agile line to deliver the performance jewelers and metalsmiths expect — without the added weight of a cast handwheel or the outside half-round extension rollers found on some DRM-series mills. The result is a competitively priced, full-featured flat rolling mill built for professional studio use.

The rolls are induction hardened to 64 HRc to a depth of 6 mm, ensuring long-term surface durability under heavy working loads. Bearings are self-lubricating and maintenance-free, matching the standard set by Durston's DRM line. The heavy-duty 5-to-1 reduction gearbox significantly reduces the effort required to advance material through the rolls, and two specially formed gears behind the cover contribute to exceptionally smooth rolling action. A protective guard around the top gears adds a critical safety feature for busy shop environments.

At 165 mm wide, this mill handles sheet up to 6 mm thick and includes 11 wire grooves ranging from 1 mm to 6 mm, plus half-round grooves in 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 mm sizes — giving metalsmiths a wide range of forming options in a single machine.
