Bezel Setting Tools Set of 24 - 1.5mm to 9.0mm

 

This 24 piece set of nicely polished bezel setting tools ranges in size from 1.5mm to 9.0mm.  This set includes a wood handle and comes in a round wood container.  Made in Europe. These bezel setting tools are ideal for tube setting. Pick the right size to smoothly and easily close round  bezels and tube settings. For tube settings choose heavy walled tubing .5mm larger than the stone. Then a setting burr exactly the size as the stone to cut the seat. For example if the stone is a 3mm round faceted stone pick a heavy walled tubing that is 3.5mm outside diameter (OD) or even a bit larger up to 3.8mm. Then cut the seat with a 3mm setting bur. Seat the stone then burnish the bezel with the appropriate size setting tool. 

We recommend that you use a small bullet point (Part # 110.342) to polish the insides of these punches before use.  You can also modify these punches in various ways. One method, recommended by Goldsmith Peter Rowe, is to cut a slot with a separating disk across the top of the punch and then using an abrasive wheel slightly lower one side to the slot to effect a cutting edge on the untouched side.  Use this punch like a simple cup bur to remove material around the outside of a bezel.
