Tip Preparation — Factory Guidance

Harden: Hold by the threaded portion with tweezers (do not damage threads). Heat the working end to approximately 820 °C (light cherry red). Quench tip-first in oil.

Clean: Remove oil and brighten with fine abrasive; avoid touching the point.

Temper: Gently warm from back toward the point to approximately 130 °C (do not change color), then quench in oil. If edge life is poor, repeat from Step 1.
Duplex springs (not included) increase flexibility but carry no warranty and can be damaged if over-bent; never exceed approximately 45° when using duplex-equipped models. Otto Frei offers in-house repair service for Badeco hammer handpieces.
